College Revives Agriculture Program

Twenty-two years ago, the agriculture program at Illinois Valley Community College about vanished. But now, there’s a new two-year degree, the revitalization of an Ag Club for students, about 30 students enrolled in ag classes this semester and the anticipation that another two-year degree will be added next fall.

The community college expanded this fall with the agriculture business management degree, a two-year degree, that can get students into food, agriculture, renewable natural resources and environmental fields.
