Pasadena City College’s incoming president says listening first on her agenda

Pasadena City College will soon have a new president, veteran community college leader and historian Erika A. Endrijonas.

Her first order of business? Checking in with students, faculty, staff and residents of the communities served by PCC.

“The first thing I’m going to do is basically listen — talk to the various communities and constituencies, not just at the main site but all of the sites where Pasadena City College operates,” Endrijonas said in a phone interview.

Endrijonas, the current president at Los Angeles Valley College in the San Fernando Valley, was chosen by the Pasadena City College trustees to serve as the school’s next president. She’s set to start work in Pasadena next month, pending contract negotiations.
