Regents’ Panel Endorses $12.5M Cut For Community Colleges

The state’s community colleges will have to cut their budgets by a collective $12.5 million next year under a $1.29 billion budget endorsed Thursday by the Board of Regent’s finance committee.

The regents, who oversee the state’s 12 community colleges and four regional state universities, projected deficits up significantly compared to last year.
