Cincinnati State Land Surveying Students First to Receive Bachelor’s Degrees from the College

The first students to ever receive bachelor’s degrees from Cincinnati State Technical and Community College will graduate this spring through the college’s land surveying program, officials said.

Like other Ohio community colleges, Cincinnati State has awarded two-year associate degrees and certificates only since 1969. But in 2018, the Ohio Department of Higher Education announced two-year institutions could propose applied bachelor’s degree programs to the state chancellor. The proposals must be in fields where there is a strong workforce need, and no nearby four year college with a similar program.
