Cuyahoga Community College Resorts to Layoffs, Buyouts, Pay Cuts to Stave Off Coronavirus Budget Shortfalls

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cuyahoga Community College will cut pay, offer buyouts and eventually lay off workers to help fill a projected $25 million budget hole due to the coronavirus crisis.

Tri-C is expecting $2.7 million less in state aid, and a decline enrollment due to the pandemic. It’s also estimating additional costs associated with the pandemic at $1 million.
