DANIELSON — Several Quinebaug Valley Community College instructors will begin teaching inmates at a local correctional facility this fall, part of a federal pilot program designed to get ex-prisoners back into the classroom after their release.
The college was selected as one of 67 schools in the nation to participate in the new Second Chance Pell pilot program that allows eligible prisoners to receive federal grants to pursue post-secondary education.
