Madison College plans to offer a new scholarship to support the black community and racial equity.
The technical college is in the process of establishing the ‘George Floyd Memorial Scholarship.’ Madison College President Dr. Jack Daniels says it will be available to black students who are 25-years-old or older.
“As we look at our unemployment and underemployment, it really affects those individuals who are 25 years and above, especially in the African American community,” said Daniels.
