Penn State Lehigh Valley student Daniel Omron grew up living paycheck to paycheck, so his mom’s advice to earn a college degree resonated.
It became their shared dream for him.
But when his mother became terminally ill with cancer while he was in school, he became her primary caretaker, putting that in jeopardy. Between his full course load and caring for his mom, Omron was unable to work.
