LOWELL — Inside a windowless classroom on the fourth floor of a Middle Street building, students are hacking into their classmates’ computers. Others are defending against the hacks.
It’s all part of a new Middlesex Community College cybersecurity program, one of few yet in place in Massachusetts meant to train students to enter a burgeoning industry that made headlines this year with major hacks into Yahoo and the Democratic National Committee.
