Community College Recognized for Work with Veterans

A community college in eastern North Carolina has been named a military-friendly school, and veterans who attend say they know the school has helped them achieve academic success.

Carteret Community College has been designated as a Military Friendly School by the website Viqtory.

The site says that being Military Friendly “is the standard that measures an organization’s commitment, effort and success in creating sustainable and meaningful benefit for the military community.”

Marine veteran Edward Buggs and Coast Guard veteran Max Stel maybe a little older than the typical college student, but they both agree coming back to class was worth it.
