County Supervisor Urges Return to Free Community College

Full-time students facing steep housing costs in the Bay Area should not have to pay to attend classes at San Mateo County Community College, according to a county supervisor.
In a letter sent last week to the college district’s board president Maurice Goodman, San Mateo County Supervisor David J. Canepa advocated free tuition for first-time, full-time students for two years.
