Half of the billboard has a green background with the words “start here” written in white. The other half has a black background, with the the words “finish here” written in gold.
The words in somewhat smaller type on each half are maybe more interesting. Under the “start here” are the words “Oakland Community College” and under the “finish here” are the words “Oakland University.”
It’s part of a advertising campaign to convince students to start their higher-education careers at OCC and then go to Oakland University to finish up the last two years. It’s a unique push for cooperation instead of competition for students.
