Since the time Glen Oaks Community College had only talked of having student housing on campus, there has always been talk that the housing could be used for students who have aged out of the foster care system.
Now that the student housing is a reality, so is the option for it to be used for former foster care students.
It’s something Tonya Howden, Dean of Student Services, and GOCC President David Devier had talked about for quite some time, Howden said.
