Pennsylvania’s Harrisburg Area Community College Launches New Diversity Fund

Harrisburg Area Community College is launching a million dollar diversity fund.

It will help offer resources, including mentors and on-campus diversity programs.

The board of trustees will give $200,000 to the fund for each of the next five years.

“We have an employee professional development opportunity through the fund,” Dr. Armenta Hinton, vice president of inclusion and diversity at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, said. “We have the Diversity Innovation Grant, which is a smaller pot of money that will allow for members of our community, meaning our staff and our students, to enhance experiences inside and outside the classroom.”
