Illinois College Off Probation

The College of DuPage will keep its accreditation after recovering from a series of scandals that rocked the state’s largest community college two years ago.

The Higher Learning Commission — the agency that accredits the school — lifted the school’s probationary status earlier this month, saying the college had adequately addressed concerns about governance issues and its leadership’s integrity.

The commission, however, has indicated it will continue to monitor the school in the coming years.
