Pitt Trustees Vote to Make a Campus Hub

TITUSVILLE — The University of Pittsburgh will share its Titusville campus with a community college and training school.

Pitt trustees on Friday voted to reinvent the struggling branch campus as an “education and training campus hub” to attract more students and better meet regional education and job training needs.

The only other option presented for trustees to consider was closing the school.

“This new concept will include a Pitt presence but also include the strong presence of other partners working together to ensure student success,” Pitt Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor Patricia Beeson said in a prepared statement.
