Prince George’s Community College is nearing its selection of an architectural firm to design a $62.5 million expansion of its student center, which is set to almost double in size.
The revamped student center is not necessarily the most expensive or even the biggest expansion that PGCC has embarked upon in its broader overhaul of its main, 150-acre campus in Largo. But it would be one of its most visible projects, acting as a “gateway” to the college for those driving along Route 202, the school wrote in its request for proposal documents.
