RichmondCC Grads Eligible for Entirely Online Bachelor’s Degree Program at Coker

Richmond Community College (RichmondCC) graduates will soon have the opportunity to pursue entirely online bachelor’s degree programs in business management, criminology and psychology as part of a new partnership with Coker College, soon to be Coker University.

Richmond graduates who have completed an associate’s degree in business administration, criminal justice or human services can transfer those credits under the partnership directly into Coker’s entirely online business management, criminology or psychology program, providing students with two years of completed course requirements towards a bachelor’s degree, according to The Laurinburg Exchange.

The online programs function on an enhanced schedule, which gives students the ability to complete their baccalaureate program in two years. Past and present graduates of Richmond Community College with degrees in business administration, criminal justice and psychology who choose to participate in the online bachelor’s program will be awarded an annual $2,000 RichmondCC Online Advantage Scholarship from Coker for up to three years.

“Coker is excited to partner with Richmond Community College to give students the opportunity to earn their bachelor’s degree in as little as two years,” said Elaine Hodges, director of transfer and online admissions at Coker. “Online degree programs are a great option for students desiring flexibility and convenience, especially if they are juggling responsibilities such as families and jobs. We’re also hoping to see some RichmondCC graduates working toward their bachelor’s degree in one of our 40 subject areas by attending classes on Coker’s campus.”

Located in Hartsville, South Carolina, Coker is a student-centered, comprehensive institution that has a strong liberal arts core. The online degree programs will begin in August and January.
