Schools Tailor Training Programs to Local Industry

Jakob Folds took his first job out of school at Eastern Sheet Metal. Eventually he wants to go to college to be an engineer.

It’s a goal he’s working toward in steps. He took construction and drafting classes in high school and a sheet metal course at Wallace Community College.

He’s worked in several departments at the plant, doing tasks ranging from building and pressing out elbows for ducts to welding and cutting circles.
