University Teams with Colleges, High Schools for ‘Degree in 3’

School leaders from across the area gathered at the University of Kansas Edwards Campus on Tuesday to formalize an agreement for the new “Degree in 3” program. It offers an accelerated path to a bachelor’s degree.

“High-achieving high school students who are taking concurrent enrollment courses who want to move on to the community college get their associate’s degree.  And that may be where they choose to stop. That may be a great end point for them.  But some of them will want to go on to get a four-year degree.  They can do that, get that four-year degree…in three years. That’s a good deal for all of us,” says Edwards campus Vice Chancellor David Cook.
